Standard we build to

This site is built to target the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. Measures in place include:

  • A skip-to-content link for keyboard users
  • Visible focus indicators on every interactive element
  • Semantic headings, landmarks and lists
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images, and decorative images hidden from assistive technology
  • Form fields with associated labels and clear error messaging
  • Color contrast targeted at WCAG AA for body text
  • Respect for the operating system’s reduced-motion preference
  • Touch targets sized for use on phones

Ongoing work

Accessibility is not a one-time task. We review the site as it changes, and we treat reported barriers as defects to fix rather than requests to consider.
